History
Mansuri oil field was discovered in 1962/63 and subsequent drilling has confirmed for drilling of two resrvoirs (Asmari and Bangestan).
It was put on production in 1974. A total of 56 wells have been drilled on the field so far. The reservoirs are currently producing approximately 125 MBOPD of which the Asmari reservoir is producing approximately 75 MBOPD from 13 wells and rest is produced form Bangestan reservoir.
During 2001/2002 under the supervision of Petrolerm Development and Engineering co. (PEDEC), a feasibility study for the development of Mansuri Asmari reservoir was carried out by Paravar Co and its join venture GCA (Gaffeny Cline Associates). This study resulted in a project to increase the daily production rate from Asmari formation to 100 MBOPD.
Technical Properties
The field structure is an elongated anticline covering an area 42*5.5km and Asmari formation has been divided to 8 zones. The first 3 zones plus a very small part of xone 4(4million) are recognized as oil bearing and the remaining zones are wet.
The estimated Stock Tank Oil Initially in Place for Mansuri-Asmari reservoir is in excess 3315 million barrels.
It has potentiol recovery of 40% and the reservoir fluid is asiginificantly under saturated oil of 29 API gravity with a GOR of 450 SCF/STB.
Job Opportunities
Putting this project into operation will provide temporary job opportunities for 300 persons (50 persons as direct and 250 persons as indirect) and also permanent job for 130 persons (30 persons as direct and 100 persons as indirect).
Training and Technology Transfer
Contractors must spend one present of total investment (650000$) for training and technology transfer to Iranian stuff.
