According to Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC) Public Relations, the operating phase of Band Karkheh oilfield development was inaugurated by Hamid Karimi, the project manager for Band Karkheh oil field development project.

A large population of Hamidieh inhabitants, and those living near the project site, participated in the inauguration of project.

According to latest studies, Band Karkheh oil field has four billion barrels of oil in place, of which an early production of 7500 barrels makes happen within the next three years.
